Using Word to Custom Format Handouts in PowerPoint 2007

You can create simple handouts in PowerPoint to go along with your presentations. However, if you want to spruce up the handouts, you need the more powerful text and paragraph formatting available in Word. Here are the steps to follow to export your handÂouts to Word so that you can format the text:
- In PowerPoint, choose Office, Publish, Create Handouts in Microsoft Office Word. The Send To Microsoft Office Word dialog box displays, as shown in Figure 1.
- Click the page layout you want to use.
- Activate the Paste Link option.
- Click OK. The presentation displays in Word.
- Add, edit, and format your handout text.
